Murphy's Battle Of The Bands now taking applications
Two days recording time in Rosscarbery's Blue Monkey Studios is up for grabs courtesy of the all-new Murphy's Battle Of The Bands competition
After negotiating their way through one of the heats taking place in in Bar Bucha (May 18) and Cruscin Lan (26), the winning act will also get to perform in The People's Republic – aka Cork – over the June Bank Holiday as part of the annual Murphy's UnCorked Festival.
Enthuses brand manager Jennifer Cashman: "We've an excellent panel of judges including Ashley Keating of The Frank & Walters, Tony Burke of the Lee Valley Blues Club, Steve Haze and Michael Carr of Cork 96FM and Eric Coogan of Murphy's. Each of the eight finalists will be judged on their performance, professionalism, quality of their material and naturally that certain 'X'-factor."
You've up until Friday May 7 to get your entries in with more details available from www.murphysuncorked.com.
