Now we’re suckin’ diesel. The title track of this cracking EP is an orgy of unfettered, punchy plank-spanking from a teenage London trio who first traded licks in kindergarten before graduating to the school of hard rock. Midmay exhibits influences as diverse as Bowie, Radiohead, Ash and, em, Simon & Garfunkel, and the title track features an enticing melody supported by bass-lines that are chunkier than a geography teacher’s cords.
