Midlands Festival details revealed
The first details of Midlands 2007 have emerged - and we've got them right here!
Best known for its country-influenced line-up, last year's event attracted the likes of Kenny Rogers and Van Morrison (pictured). However, the promoters have promised to diversify the line-up this year.
"The festival will cater for all tastes, and all ages, keeping the country element for which its famous, but also extending the musical reach," says a spokesperson for POD concerts and Raglane, who are jointly organising the event.
Also changing from last year is its location. It formerly took palce at Ballinlough Castle, County Meath, but this year will move to Bevedere House in Mullingar, which hosted the Hi:Fi festival last year. The move is designed to make the festival more accessible and allow ticket-holders to access a greater range of facilities including more B&Bs and close campsites.
It takes place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July, and while the line-up is yet to be announced, tickets will go on sale on Saturday 9 December.
