Tunited.com pledges to give 100% of profits to the artist.
Former Ultravox man and Live Aid legend Midge Ure is launching a new site, which aims to provide a shop window for emerging independent artists.
Operating under the cornerstone of, “Create, Collaborate, Promote and Enjoy”, www.tunited.com has set a Friday December 11 deadline for acts to upload an unreleased track to their site.
After being scrutinised by an expert panel of judges, 100 of them will be given their own tunited.com mini-site through which their music will be streamed and available for paid download. With all proceeds going direct to the bands and solo artists in question, it seems like a great deal.
“I’ve been incredibly lucky,” Ure reflects. “I’ve made money from my music in the 38 years I’ve been in the industry. Now, I see it’s time for me to give something back to that industry and to new emerging artists. I’m incredibly excited about the site’s launch – Tunited will be a platform to show the world that there’s talent out there.”
