Michelle Shocked confirms Dublin gig
The indie singer-songwriter will appear at Whelan’s on October 12.
The LA artist’s Whelan’s concert is part of her Campfire Girl tour which sees her debut five new songs.
Shocked has long been the poster-girl for artists’ rights. Having recorded her debut album The Texas Campfire Tapes on a Sony Walkman in 1986, she then faced a legal battle over the rights to her music against Mercury Records in 1996. She finally prevailed with her music finding its way home to her Mighty Sound label.
Tickets are €22 from Whelanslive.com or WAV Tickets.
