Michelle Obama pays tribute to Beyoncé

First Lady Michelle Obama presented the singer with the Billboard Millenium Award for her music and humanitarian work.

The First Lady applauded "the role model Beyoncé provides so many women" ahead of the Presidential visit to Ireland this morning.

Beyoncé, who is set to headline Oxegen on Sunday July 10 also performed her new single 'Run the World (Girls)'.

Taylor Swift and Eminem also won awards at the show.
