Garbage announce Belfast show
They will headline the Waterfront Hall on July 17.
Garbage have announced a headline show at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall for July 17, 2026 a part of their summer UK and Ireland tour.
The tour comes in support of their eight and most recent album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, which came out in May via the band’s own label.
The record came about after frontwoman Shirley Manson was forced to stop performing due to an injury in August 2024, bringing the band’s 2024 world tour to a halt.
Speaking of Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, Manson says it is “a very confident, aggressive record,” adding that it “is about what it means to be alive, and about what it means to face your imminent destruction.
“It’s hopeful. It’s very tender towards what it means to be a human being. Our flaws and our failures are still beautiful, even though we’re taught that they’re not. I love being a societal elder. I’m really grateful that I’m old enough to be called one. I feel it’s me and my generation’s duty to ignite hope. This is a tender, thrilling record about the fragility of life. ”
Garbage consists of all four original band members, Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig. Over the 30 years since their inception in 1995, they have sold over 20 million albums.
Tickets for Garbage’s Belfast gig next July go on sale this Friday, December 19 at 10am here.
