Bleech 9:3 have announced their debut self-titled EP, set to be released on May 15.
Alongside the news, the Dublin-born, London-based band released the single ‘Underrated’, as well as its accompanying music video.
"I wrote it at the end of 2024, it was one of the first Bleech songs that we jammed back then, said vocalist and guitarist Baz Quinlan.
"Bad worship is a theme that runs through the EP. I felt driven to write about how it twists love into something else. How the twisting becomes the thing that you end up wanting."
Bleech 9:3 will also be hitting the road with an extensive run of shows, which includes a show in Belfast's Voodoo on April 29 and a sold-out show at Whelan's, Dublin on May 1.
The alt-grunge four-piece band was formed in 2024 by Quinlan and guitarist Sam Duffy, who met at an AA meeting, where Quinlan became Duffy's sponsor.
"I think the vulnerability of those meetings helped us be a lot more comfortable with each other from the get go," said the pair.
"I think to find someone your own age, with the same dreams as you, from the same city and is also suffering from the same thing ... we knew immediately that we could help each other," added Duffy. "You can lose your mind thinking about how rare that is."
"From the point of view of recovery and sobriety, we shared an intrinsic understanding of each other, said Quinlan. "It felt like we were building something very, very special."
Bleech 9:3 also comprises bassist James Quinlan and drummer Luke O'Neil.
