Max Clifford charged with indecent assault
The publicist (previously interviewed in the pages of HP) is up on 11 counts of sexual assault.
On Friday, Britain's Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that they had given the authorisation for police to charge famous PR guru Max Clifford.
Initially arrested in December in relation to the Jimmy Savile-connected Operation Yewtree, he has now been charged with 11 indecent assaults of young women and girls from the age of 14 and up. These offences were allegedly committed between 1966 and 1985.
Clifford, who has worked with the likes of Frank Sinatra, OJ Simpson, Simon Cowell and Jade Goody over the years, has described the charges as "a load of nonsense" and vowed to clear his name.
In June 2011, Hot Press writer-at-large Olaf Tyaransen conducted a candid interview with Clifford, where he talked about his life and career. Read our Archive Article Of The Day here.
