Spin Doctors release okayish record! Shock horror! Crash Test Dummies release pile of tripe! Big deal! ‘God Shuffled His Feet’ is not the worst record ever: It’s just twee, over-earnest nonsense. They even had the gall to include the truly horrible ‘MMM MMM’ on this package – as if we hadn’t heard it enough already. ‘Mary Jane’ sees another band I love to hate produce a bearable song (just about). Congratu-lations lads, keep up the fine work.
