The Revenants: “Marry Money”(Hunter S Records)

Oh so nearly the Single of the Fortnight. This starts off like a powerful Springsteen epic but quickly changes into a bittersweet tale of “Baby” wanting to “marry money.” One can only empathise with the lyricist’s sentiments as we learn the extent, and end result, of this predicament. Again a reputation is enhanced by a single release, as this can only further the growth of The Revenants. I must say that guitar bands are, as this collection of singles shows, three-a-penny in the nineties and perhaps more than just another riff-laden song is what’s needed to really establish the band.
