Mark Logan RIP
Hot Press is saddened to learn of the death of Mark Logan, a key component of legendary Galwegian dance merchants The Disconauts who are renowned for their electric live shows.
Mark had been in intensive care for ten days after collapsing while walking his dog. He was 50.
When not creating mayhem on stage, he trained people to recognise the signs of suicidal behaviour, and worked with mental health promotion project Heads Up.
The social media tributes have been pouring in with Joe McMahon proffering, "We lost a great friend and I will miss his wit and humour and the football banter. One of the most decent Chelsea supporters I have encountered"; Karen Buhl saying: "The world is a poorer place now. I'll never forget your wonderful humour, personality, music and family" and Darren Dalton summing it up perfectly with, "Nothing short of am absolute gentleman. Big love to The Disconauts family on this sad day."
Our condolences to his wife Shona and daughter Amy, and Disconauts partner in crime Keith O'Hanlon.
