Manu of the moment
Manu Chao announce summer Point date
Having totally rammed the Ambassador last year, Manu Chao plays a Point Theatre, Dublin headliner on August 20.
The former lead singer with cult French act Mano Negra, Chao is a household name in much of Europe thanks to genre-bending albums like Clandestino, Proxima Estation: Esperanze and the recently released Radio Bemba Sound System.
When he's not playing Springsteen-esque three-hour long sets, the 41-year-old can be found campaigning for the anti-globalisation movement and organising festivals in deprived areas as part of La Caravane des Quartiers initiative.
Tickets for his Point show go on sale on June 28 priced €28.50.
