Lizzo surprise releases MY FACE STILL HURTS FROM SMILING

Lizzo has surprised released her new mixtape MY FACE STILL HURTS FROM SMILING.

The news marks the Grammy and Emmy-winning artist’s second body of work in three months, following the surprise release of her June mixtape MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING.

The new nine track mixtape features American rappers Lil Jon ('STFU (FEAT LIL JON)') and Tierra Whack ('INTERNET (FEAT TIERRA WHACK)').

Lizzo's previous mixtape has received over 32 million streams in the United States. It features standout tracks “IRL” (FEAT SZA), “YITTY ON YO TITTYS” and “STILL CAN’T FUH” (FEAT DOJA CAT).

The American singer and rapper has two Hot 100 number one tracks and dozens of gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications.

In 2023 she became the first black woman to receive Record of the Year at the Grammys since 1994 for her 2x-Platinum 'About Damn Time'.

Her 2019 track 'Truth Hurts' went 9x-Platinum, staying on top of the Hot 100 chart for seven weeks. The song made her the third female rapper to top the Hot 100 without a featured artist, the first black solo female R&B singer to claim the top spot since 2012 and it became the longest running number one by a solo female rap artist ever.

In addition to her mixtapes, Lizzo is set to release her fifth studio album Love in Real Life later this year. The artist confirmed she had finished recording it in March.

It has been three years since she released her latest album Special.
