Lizzo drops surprise mixtape My Face Hurts From Smiling, featuring Doja Cat and SZA
Lizzo is also gearing up to release her fifth studio album Love in Real Life, which she confirmed she had finished recording in March.
Here’s an unexpected treat: as fans eagerly await news about Lizzo’s follow-up to her 2022 album Special, a new mixtape has arrived to tide them over until her next full release.
Hot on the heels of her viral freestyle ‘YITTY ON YO TITTYS,’ the multi-platinum, Grammy- and Emmy-winning artist’s Lizzo surprise mixtape, MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING, is out now.
The offering boasts 13 all-new tracks, including collaborations with Doja Cat and SZA. On the former, ‘Still Can’t Fuh,’ Lizzo and Doja playfully shut down a suitor, making it clear that love—and everything else—can’t be bought. Meanwhile, on ‘IRL’, SZA joins Lizzo in delivering bold verses celebrating self-love and staying true to oneself.

Lizzo is also gearing up to release her fifth studio album Love in Real Life, which she confirmed she had finished recording in March. The upcoming full-length project will feature her previously released singles ‘Still Bad’ and ‘Love in Real Life’, though a release date has yet to be announced. It’s been three years since the “Truth Hurts” rapper released Special, but in the meantime, she contributed the track “Pink” to the Grammy-winning Barbie soundtrack in 2023.
