Snoop Dogg becomes co-owner of Swansea City
“My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City," said the rap legend.
Snoop Dogg has become a co-owner and investor at EFL Championship club Swansea City.
This comes after the rapper appeared as the surprise model for Swansea's 2025-26 season home kit last Saturday.
"Swansea’s home kit may be the latest in that sequence, but Snoop’s ties to the club will run deeper than the donning of the famous white shirt as he formally becomes a member of club ownership," said Swansea in a statement on their website. "And it is hoped his global profile and love of football can play an important part in helping us spread the Swansea City name as far and wide as possible."
A mural of Snoop Dogg, created by Hasan Kamil, will be displayed in the club's stadium.
“I’m proud to be part of Swansea City. I am going to do all I can to help the club," said Snoop Dogg.
Swansea City’s ownership group said that they hope the rappers global audience will help boost the club's reach.
"We are delighted that putting on a Swansea shirt has proven to be that right fit.”
This isn't the first time Hollywood starts have gotten involved in EFL clubs, with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who were convinced to buy Wrexham by comedian and actor Humphrey Ker who spoke about his journey in our new issue.
