It's been a while since Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson got together to make a glorious racket but some unfortunate news about an old friend has them playing once more.

'I'm Not Sayin'' – a cover of a Gordon Lightfoot song – is the first track talen from their Songs For Slim EP, recorded with the express purpose of benefitting former 'Mats guitarist Slim Dunlap, who is still recovering from a debilitating stroke he suffered one year ago.

The EP drops March 5 and is obviously for a very good cause and a very talented musician.

It's also nice to hear one of the most underrated bands of the '80s (also hear their 'Alex Chilton' anthem below) back making some great music.
