LISTEN! DJ Izem & Madu
'Rocksteady' is taken from the producer's forthcoming EP...
French producer DJ Izem is set to release a new EP next week.
Another smooth collection of chilled-out Latin beats, EP2 features an eclectic array of guest collaborators - Rafa and Israel of the Dublin Afrobeat Ensemble, Irish soul singer and flute player Danny Groenland, Brazilian rapper Juliana Durães, and Dublin-based Mexican singer Yolanda Reyes.
Izem - real name Jérémie Moussaid Kerouanton - lived in Dublin for a couple of years before heading for the slightly sunnier climes of Lisbon a few months back. Maeve Heslin caught up with him in 2011, as he was set to release the excellent Quiver EP. Read the interview, here.
Check out 'Rocksteady', featuring Irish/Malaysian reggae duo Madu, below. The album is out on January 24.
