Last chance to bag music equipment 'starter packs'
This week is your last chance to apply for the IRMA Trust's musician 'starter packs', which aim to give aspiring musicians a helping hand with free instruments and equipment.
If you want to get your hands on a music equipment package worth a whopping €130,000 for your band, you better get your skates on as there’s only a week left until the deadline to apply.
The IRMA Trust music equipment package (organized in association with The Arts Council and Music Network) will offer Ireland’s aspiring musicians free music equipment to develop and hone their skills.
Top quality starter packs will include everything a budding band might need to get started on the path to fame and fortune – guitars, amps, drum kit and a digital piano plus a P.A. system, rehearsal recording equipment and a host of mics, accessories and additional hardware. These will be delivered complete with an introductory workshop by an experienced technician and a starter fund of €500.
Applications can be made by rehearsal facilities, venues, music collectives, youth and community groups and resource organisations, and the deadline is September 29.
Application forms and guidelines can be accessed online, or by e-mailing [email protected]
You can also call Aisling Ryan at Music Network on (01) 671 9429 for details or queries regarding applications.
