Lady Doll win latest JD Set heat
It's on now to Limerick and Galway!
Lady Doll’s journey to the capital wasn’t in vain on Friday as the Cork quartet outflanked Cutaways, Mail Order Messiahs and The Dirty 9s to win the second JD Set heat.
The bulk of their Whelan’s set was culled from The Knife Thrower And His Wife, their debut album which is available through Subplot Records. As well as gigging constantly at home, they’re also off to London later in the month for a series of showcases.
They now go on to the Grand Final, which takes place in The Village, Dublin on April 29 and will doubtless attract a huge A&R contingent as well as adoring fans.
The JD Set now moves to Dolan's, Limerick (March 5) where Liz Is Evil, Redtwelve, Macrogrizzly and Henrietta Game will fight it out and the Roisin Dubh, Galway (March 26) where Sanzkrit, Go Panda Go, Tupelo and The Coonics compete for a place in the final.
