Kingfishr lead the way on the chart this week – followed by the likes of Chappell Roan, Ravyn Lenae, Sombr, Alex Warren and Lorde.
Following an impressive performance on the charts over the past six weeks, Kingfishr have finally scored the No.1 slot on the Official Irish Singles Chart.
'Killeagh' had held onto the No.2 spot for several weeks, in a Top 10 dominated by major international acts. This week, they've come out on top – ahead of releases from Chappell Roan ('Pink Pony Club' at No.2), Ravyn Lenae ('Love Me Not' at No.3), Sombr ('Undressed' at No.4), Alex Warren ('Ordinary' at No.5) and Lorde ('What Was That', a new entry, at No.6).
It's the first track from a domestic artist to top the chart since Hozier's 'Too Sweet', this time last year.
'Killeagh' – which has been streamed over seven million times on Spotify, and is now certified four-times platinum – was released at the end of 2025. In addition to the members of Kingfishr, the track features contributions from Claire Kinsella of Lemoncello on cello.
Kingfishr – made up of Eddie Keogh, Eoin ‘Fitz’ Fitzgibbon, and Eoghan ‘McGoo’ McGrath – released their latest single, 'Gloria', last month. The band are currently in the midst of a sold-out North American tour.

“Fitz is from a small town in east Cork called Killeagh, after which the song is named," the band say of the chart-topping track. "He played hurling for his club for close to 20 years before turning his hand to music due to injury. We wrote the song in support of his club. Specifically an East County final that they just won (hon the lads). It’s about the pride of belonging somewhere and references the local area heavily.”
Kingfishr's upcoming Irish dates include two nights at Dublin's 3Arena on December 18 & 19. A second date was added after the first show sold out in a matter of hours.
