Kevin Shields guests on Roky Erickson tribute

Kevin Shields finds another excuse for not signing off on those My Bloody Valentine re-issues by joining Le Volume Courbe on the cover of ‘I Love The Living You’ that graces the new Roky Erickson & The 13th Floor Elevators tribute album, The Psychedelic Sounds Of The Sonic Cathedral.
Due here on June 4, it also features contributions from the likes of Black Acid, I Break Horses, A Place To Bury Strangers and Erickson himself who’s accompanied by Austin psych-rockers The Black Angels on a live ‘Roller Coaster’.
Ahead of that comes the release next week of True Love Cast Out All Evil, Roky’s collaborative album with Okkervil River, which is the 62-year-old Texan's first new material since 2005.
