Katie Melua cancels Belfast show
Fans may be disappointed to find out that former Belfast resident Katie Melua is postponing tonight's concert at the Belfast Waterfront Hall.
Explained Katie: “I seem to have caught this infection a couple of days ago, and my voice really started to go during last night’s show. I woke up this morning with virtually no voice. I’ve been doing all that I can to try to get my voice back and I’ve seen a doctor today who has advised that it would be foolish to go ahead with today’s show.
“I’m really sorry to disappoint all the people who’ve bought tickets for the show. We’ve managed to secure a replacement date and will be back here to do the show in the first week of April.”
Promoters are asking the public to keep hold of their tickets which will be valid for the re-scheduled show.
