Guitarist John Moriarty and his new jazz quartet play shows in Dublin, Limerick and Cork next week.
The John Moriarty Group features Hakon Johansen (Norway) on drums; Daniel Formo (Norway) on piano and Irishman Michael Buckley on tenor sax.
The group embark on their first Irish tour this month, playing dates at Dolan’s (Upstairs) in Limerick on February 18; JJ Smyth's, Dublin on February 20, and the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork on February 26.
A self-taught guitarist, John Moriarty is well known for his work with jazz trio Organics, and duets with Dublin's Louis Stewart.
