Jimmy beats world - or Ireland at least
Nobody beats the skins harder than Jimmy Chamberlain. Well okay, Dave Grohl gives them a decent hiding as well, but Jimmy has earned just as good a reputation by banging the drums for Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan.
These days he’s with his own new band, The Jimmy Chamberlain Complex, who’ll be making their first Irish appearance at The Village in Dublin on Friday 26 August.
Multi-instrumentalist Billy Mohler, whose previous songwriting credits include penning a tune or two for Macy Gray and Fred Durst, is the other main figure in the band.
Their moody debut album Life Begins Again was released to rave reviews last January, so this show could be well worth checking out.
Tickets are €17.00 (including booking fee) and you can pick them in the usual Ticketmaster outlets, Road Records or Soundcellar.
