Jeff Beck first studio album in seven years
The guitar legend's new album Emotion & Commotion will feature Dubliner Imelda May
Grammy-winning guitarist Jeff Beck is set to return with his first studio album in seven years - titled Emotion & Commotion.
The album was recorded late last year at Sarm Studios in London, with award-winning producers Steve Lipson and Trevor Horn. Beck handpicked a cast of musicians, including Imelda May, Olivia Safe and Joss Stone, to appear on the album.
It also features a 64-piece orchestra on songs that range from Puccini’s aria “Nessun Dorma” and “Elegy For Dunkirk” from the film Atonement to “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” from The Wizard Of Oz and Jeff Buckley’s interpretation of “Corpus Christi Carol.”
Emotion & Commotion will be released on Friday April 9.
