The Chapman Society have been confirmed as the winners of the JD Set Dublin heats, which took place last Thursday and Friday in Crawdaddy.
The band were up against tough competition, with a bill that also featured the diverse talents of Jezzebelle, Robotnik, Revolution Of Dogs, My Wooly Hat and Superjiminez.
Casting an expert ear over the acts were Adam Murphy from Jack Daniel’s, Phantom 105.2’s Michelle Doherty and Hot Press' Roisin Dwyer who says: “It’s great to see a band that can rock out in style but also appreciate the craft of good songwriting. I didn’t want their performance to end!”
Currently working on their debut Grenade album, The Chapman Society go through to April’s JD Set Grand Final, which is again in Crawdaddy.
