Jape and Pillow Queens to play the National Concert Hall as part of Landmark Series
They will perform on September 14 and October 21 respectively.
Jape and Pillow Queens are set to perform in Dublin’s National Concert Hall on September 14 and October 21 respectively as part of the venue’s Landmarks Series.
Jape will revisit two defining chapters of their musical journey with a live performance of their records Cosmosphere (2003) and Ritual (2008), while Pillow Queens will perform their critically-lauded debut In Waiting (2020) to mark the fifth anniversary of its release.
The Landmark Series will kick off on Tuesday July 29, when Mick Flannery will perform his album Evening Song on the NCH Main Stage to mark its 20th Anniversary.
Jape began as the solo moniker of Richie Egan – formerly of Redneck Manifesto. Cosmosphere, Jape’s beloved first full-length album, marked a significant step forward in Egan’s artistic evolution, while Ritual is widely regarded as Jape’s most critically acclaimed album, winning a Choice Music Prize in 2009.
NCH Landmarks celebrates two iconic Irish albums: @PillowQueens mark the 5th anniversary of 'In Waiting' on October 21st, whilst @richiejaperevisits'The Monkeys in the Zoo Have More Fun Than Me' & 'Ritual' on September 14th, '25.

The single ‘Floating’ from Ritual was covered by The Raconteurs' Brendan Benson, which led to Jape supporting the band on a slew of global dates.
After forming in 2016, Pillow Queens released a series of well-received singles, before putting out their breakthrough debut In Waiting. Since then, they have received much acclaim from domestic, UK and American press, played numerous sold-out gigs at home and abroad and appeared on James Corden’s US TV show.
After signing with Canada’s Royal Mountain Records, they released a follow-up album, Leave the Light On in 2022, touring the UK, US and Europe extensively, including shows at Austin’s SXSW and supporting Phoebe Bridgers in Glasgow. Their most recent album, Name Your Sorrows, dates back to 2024.
Tickets for Jape’s and Pillow Queens’ National Concert Hall shows go on sale this Friday, July 11 at 10am here.
