Singer-songwriter Mick Flannery will perform at the National Concert Hall (NCH) in Dublin on Tuesday, July 29, to mark the 20th anniversary of his debut album Evening Train.
The concert is part of NCH Landmarks, a new series featuring Irish artists revisiting landmark albums alongside selections from their broader repertoire.
During the performance, Flannery will also present newly arranged versions of songs from his first record.
Evening Train was released in 2005 and helped launch Flannery’s career. Two tracks from the album, 'In The Gutter' and 'The Tender,' received awards at the Nashville Songwriters’ Association International Song Contest.

His 2021 collaborative album In the Game with Susan O’Neill was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. It became the best-selling independent record in Ireland that year.
A stage adaptation of Evening Train titled The House Must Win will receive a "work-in-progress" presentation at this year’s Galway International Arts Festival, ahead of its full production in 2026. Flannery has written both the script and the music.
Flannery is set to play a show in Cork this Friday before embarking on a US tour in June.
Tickets for his gig in the NCH go on sale Friday, May 23 at 10am and start at €28. You can find them on the NCH website.
