Official trailer released for Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear - featuring Blink-182, Taylor Hawkins and more

The official trailer for new documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear has been released - featuring Blink-182, the late Taylor Hawkins and more.

The 90-minute film is set for global release via Disney+ this Friday, August 13. It will follow the documentary's world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier this summer.

Co-directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, it explores the drummer's life and career, the 2008 plane crash that took four of the six lives on board, and the "raw and redemptive journey" he had to embark on afterwards.

Barker's life includes a period of recovery following the plane crash that resulted in burns to 65 per cent of his body, an 11-week hospital stay, and almost 30 surgeries. After extensive treatment, including therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder, he reunited with Blink-182.

Louder Than Fear finds Barker "battling pain, grief and the thin line between survival and surrender," per its description. "This is the story of the man behind the tattoos. A tribute to those who keep going when the music almost stops."

It boasts appearances from collaborators, cultural icons and those closest to Barker, including late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Hawkins died on March 25, 2022, at the age of 50 in a Bogotá, Colombia hotel after reporting chest pains.

The pair's friendship spanned years of touring together, living in California, and supporting one another's careers. Following Hawkins ' sudden death, Barker posted a tribute on Instagram calling him "a dear friend and brother."

Before performing live with the Foo Fighters at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute concert in London to celebrate his life and legacy.
