It's a summer trad-vaganza!
The month of June heralds live trad mania courtesy of Kevin Burke, Ged Foley, Altan and Cliar...
Two national treasures for the price of one is the deal this month as Altan team up with their Scottish trad counterparts Cliar for a series of dates.
The Irish leg kicks off on June 9 at Belfast's Culturlann Mac Adam O Fiach and then takes in the Westside Theatre, Derry (10); Highlands Hotel, Glenties (11); Halla Padraig, Clonbur (12); Amharclann Chois Fharraige, Inveran (13); and An Halla, Cul Aodha (15).
And then it's over to Kevin Burke & Ged Foley who play a series of dates around the country, taking in The Lobby, Cork (June 13); Pepper's Bar, Feakle (15); The Cobblestone, Dublin (17); Seamus Ennis Centre, The Naul, Co. Dublin (18); Spelman's, Ballaghaderreen (19); Madden's Bar, Belfast (20); Roisin Dubh, Galway (21); Matt Molloy's, Westport (22); and St. John's Art Centre, Listowel (24).
With a collective CV that includes The Bothy Band, Patrick Street, The Battlefield Band and The Celtic Fiddle Festival, expect a seriously varied and virtuoso night.
