The Best Irish Feature prize is split by The Young Offenders and A Date For Mad Mary
The Young Offenders and A Date For Mad Mary shared the Best Irish Feature prizes at this year's Galway Film Fleadh.
The prizegiving in Galway City Hall last night saw the road trip comedy and coming-of-age drama split the honours in another year of tough competition. The Young Offenders (pictured) is directed by Peter Foott, and tells the story of two young Corkmen who set off in search of their fortune after a massive cocaine bust off the coast. A Date For Mad Mary, which follows a young woman on her release from prison, stars Seána Kerslake – who also took the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the ceremony.
