Iain Archer single finds a home on BBC Radio 1

Snow Patrol's mate Iain Archer – he co-wrote 'Run' with Gary Lightbody – has had 'Single Of The Week' status bestowed on his new release by BBC Radio One.

Due on October 22, 'Summer Jets' is one of the stand-outs from the Northerner's Flood The Tanks album. Bonus cuts include 'See The Survivors' and another Archer/Lightbody collaboration, 'Colouring In', which is by all accounts the dog's proverbials.

You can catch yer' man live next month when he opens for The Walls at the Roisin Dubh, Galway (October 4 & 5); Trinity College, Dublin (6); Trinity Rooms, Limerick (7); Half Moon, Cork (8); and Whelan's, Dublin (9 @ 3 and 8pm).
