‘I’m Alive’ does tend to sound remarkably similar to every other guitar song going but it’s a worthwhile effort from a man who has written some truly memorable songs. Thankfully one of those is included on this single. ‘Running On Empty’, from the 1977 album of the same name, is a classic taking you through highway America and finally enabling you to break free. This inclusion makes the single a worthwhile purchase on its own.
