That won't be a problem: at a press conference mere moments ago, it was revealed that Stereophonics are to headline Slane 2002
As predicted a couple of months ago on hotpress.com, Stereophonics have been unveiled as the Slane 2002 headliners.
"You look at the legends who've headlined Slane and think, 'God, I'd love a bit of that!'" enthuses Kelly Jones, who flew in for the launch at Dublin's Four Seasons Hotel with bandmates Stuart Cable and Richard Jones.
"Festival-wise, it's one of the biggest deals around and we're absolutely thrilled to be doing it."
Echoing those sentiments, Lord Henry Mountcharles said: "We needed somebody really special to follow U2, and we've got that with Stereophonics who are a world class live act. I've seen them several times and they've never failed to blow me away."
Nickelback, Doves, Counting Crows and The Revs complete the Saturday August 24th festival bill, which is guaranteed to be the summer's hottest ticket.
Talking of which, those all important pieces of paper go on sale at 8am on Saturday June 15th. Meanwhile, 'phonics fans desperate for new product can feast their eyes on the new At The Castle DVD, which features footage from their Donnington Racetrack and Cardiff Millennium Stadium shows.
