It's got to be a loose fit for Paul Nolan and Donny Keane, as they revisit the Happy Mondays' 1990 Madchester classic, Pills 'n' Thrills And Bellyaches.
Hot Press Classics is back with its newest instalment, focusing on the Happy Mondays' 1990 classic Pills 'n' Thrills And Bellyaches, coming ahead of the band's return to Ireland with dates in Dublin and Belfast on April 22 and 24.
In the episode, Paul Nolan is joined by Donny Keane to discuss the working class background of Happy Mondays, their groundbreaking sound mixing indie and dance-electronic music, and their place within the 80s and 90s indie scene.
They also examine the era of rave culture and acid house in which the Happy Mondays were instrumental, their place in the Manchester music scene, and the genius of their collaborations on production and remixes.
Additionally, Nolan and Keane go over the link between the Mondays, the legendary Haçienda nightclub in Manchester, Factory Records, and The Stone Roses.
