Ash and The Divine Comedy episode of Hot Press Classics out now - feat. Tim Wheeler and Neil Hannon

Hot Press Classics is back with its new episode, focusing on two Irish landmark 1996 releases, Ash’s 1977 and The Divine Comedy’s Casanova.

In the latest instalment, Paul Nolan pays homage to the two records, both celebrating their 30th anniversaries this year, by reminiscing about their groundbreaking quality at the time of release, and their legendary lively live shows.

Then, Nolan brings back a recent interview with Ash's Tim Wheeler, where the singer discusses the rockiest times in the band's career, the era of music in which Ash were born, with the likes of Blur and Pulp, and the retro-futurist aesthetic of 1977.

In another interview, Nolan and Neill Hannon chat about the brilliance of 1996's Casanova, its pop quality imbued into experimental melodies, and the inspiration behind the track 'Middle Class Heroes'.
