Geoff Harden gets radio slot
Music writer becomes radio presenter on a new station in Belfast
Music writer Geoff Harden has landed himself a Sunday 6 to 8pm slot on the new Belfast radio station, U105.
Debuting on Sunday November 20 with a BelFest special, Home Made Jam will feature 100% Irish music.
“What’s so great about the show,” Harden enthuses, “is that it knows no musical boundaries. I’m never too keen on pigeon-holing music into neat little boxes – ‘Folk’, ‘Jazz’, ‘Rock’, whatever – and here I won’t have to. There will be guests in the studio whenever I can grab them and I promise not to play Van Morrison every week - just most weeks!”
If you want to bombard Geoff with CDs, he can be contacted at U105, Havelock House, Ormeau Road, Belfast BT7 1EB. The station itself launches on Monday November 14.
