Free Pennie Smith photo exhibition

Legendary rock 'n' roll snapper Pennie Smith is the subject of an upcoming exhibition at the Dublin's Helix Theatre.

Running from September 30 to November 3, the 40 prints range from a 1973 road trip with Led Zeppelin to a recent session with The Strokes. Along the way, she also got to photograph The Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, Paul Weller, Bryan Ferry, Devo, Shaun Ryder and the famous London Calling shot of The Clash's Paul Simenon.

The tightwads among you will be delighted to hear that admission is free.
