Foo Fighters confirmed for Oxegen
Early Bird tickets go on sale on Wednesday
Foo Fighters have been unveiled as one of the headlining turns at Oxegen 2011.
A limited number of Early Bird tickets for the July 7 to 10 Punchestown blowout go on sale this Wednesday priced €179.50 (3 Day No Camping), €199.50 (3 Day With Camping) and €219.50 (4 Day Camping), which is the same as they’ve been for the past four years. These can be secured with a €100 deposit, with two further installments due by March 31 and June 30.
By the time they get to Ireland, the Foos will have released their new studio album, which Dave Grohl reckons “could be our heaviest yet. We’ve been recording in my garage, totally old school analogue.”
There’s a bit of a mini-Nirvana reunion vibe with bassist Krist Novoselic and Nevermind producer Butch Vig both contributing.
