Facebook campaign to make 'Surfin' Bird' the Xmas number one
Do it for music and Peter Griffin!
400,000 people have signed up to the [link]facebook.com/officialsurfinbird[/link] campaign to make The Trashmen’s garage band classic the Christmas number one rather than whatever atrocity X Factor is planning to throw at us. Originally released in 1963, ‘Surfin’ Bird’ got to number four on the American singles chart and has been discovered by a whole new generation thanks to Family Guy devoting a whole episode to it. With Peter Griffin’s support, we’re sure it can be this year’s ‘Killing In The Name Of’. Music lovers are being asked to wait until December 12 before buying it.
