Entombed headline Day Of Darkness
Plus there's a diverse bill for the Mantua Arts Festival.
The line-up for this year’s Day Of Darkness festival has been confirmed and darned tasty it is too.
Taking place on July 6 and 7 in the County Laois village of Ballylinan – we bet the locals are delighted – you’ll be able to feast on Entombed, Candlemass, Sabbat, Skyforger, Cruachan, Abaddon Incarnate, Gama Bomb, Spearhead, Hatred, Era Vulgaris, Warpath and others yet to be confirmed.
There are also fun, frolics and possibly a few spliffs to be had on July 13 and 14 as the Mantua Arts Festival descends on Ballaghadereen in County Roscommon.
The opening day is given over to reggae with the Rootical Sound System curating a stage that’ll be graced by Jah Shaka, Love Grocer, Lexxy, Brother Culture, Firehouse Skank and many more.
Among those flying the rock ‘n’ roll flag are the Sultans Of Ping and Super Extra Bonus Party whose eponymous debut album features collaborations with Nina Hynes and assorted members of Channel One, White Noise and Kill City Defectors.
