Eleanor McEvoy announces live dates and new single
Details of all her upcoming gigs below...
Hot on the heels of her placement at number three in the Hot Press Folk Albums of 2011 with her solo album Alone, Eleanor McEvoy has announced details of a new single and forthcoming live shows in Britain and Ireland.
The new single is McEvoy’s own song ‘Harbour’, due out from Moscodisc on February 17. Before that, McEvoy embarks on a series of UK concerts this month, including the Song For Ireland at Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, before returning home to play at the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival and Songwriting Convention with Nanci Griffith. She will then take on a four night stint for the A Woman’s Heart 20th Anniversary Live shows in The Olympia Theatre, Dublin, from February 29 to March 3.
These will be McEvoy’s first live shows in Ireland after her recent guest appearance with Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2’s Weekend Wogan where she performed her own ‘You’ll Hear Better Songs’ and a haunting interpretation of Cyndi Lauper’s ‘True Colors’.
