Duke Special to play Birr Arts Festival
The inimitable Duke Special is to be the musical highlight of the39th Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival.
Belfast's Duke Special, aka Peter Wilson, will be among the attractions at the Offaly festival, which takes place between 10 - 17 August.
He'll be playing the Birr Theatre and Arts Centre on Friday 10 August.
But that's not all this annual event has to offer. And They Used To Star In Movies, the satire which rocked the Dublin's Theatre Fringe Festival last year, is to reprise its imagining of three down-at-heel Disney characters remembering their glory days. Meanwhile, local pubs will be shaken to their foundations by an explosion of activity from musicians from the surrounding area.
