Dolores O'Riordan required to attend court in Ennis
The summons is the result of an alleged incident last year at Shannon Airport
Dolores O'Riordan has been summonsed to appear before Ennis District Court next Wednesday following an incident last November at Shannon Airport where the singer was disembarking a transatlantic flight from New York.
The 43-year-old faces prosecution for the alleged Section 2 minor assault of two airport police officers and a Garda. Anyone found guilty of these charges is liable to a fine of up to €1,850 or a maximum of six months in prison.
Shortly after the alleged assault, it was revealed that Dolores had been distressed following the break-up of her marriage to husband Don Burton.
With the Cranberries seemingly on permanent 'hold', Dolores has been making music in NYC with former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke and DJ Ole Koretsky.
