Dervish to debut new multimedia show
Dervish will give their new multimedia-enhanced live show its first airing in Dublin next month.
Their April 16 gig in Tripod is the venue for the premiere of the new visuals, which were designed to bring Irish music into a new age and mix audio-visual animation footage with old Irish music archival material.
This new concept was designed by animation artist John Callanan assisted by band member Brian McDonagh. His bandmate Shane Mitchell said: "We are very excited about our new stage production and this very much signals the direction the band are going in terms of our live performances. If Irish music wants to stand with the best, this is the way to go."
