Derry artist ROE releases lockdown music video for 'Room to Breathe'
“I need some room to breathe, cause I’m getting tired of holding my breath.”
Derry multi-instrumentalist ROE has released a live video for her acclaimed new single 'Room to breathe'.
Filmed in lockdown, the video features well-known Derry musicians Eoin O’Callaghan (Elma Orkestra), Niamh McGowan and Laura McFadden from the Ulster Orchestra and Jay Dickson, touring drummer for Lisa McHugh and Ryan Mack - who all recorded and filmed their parts from home.
ROE, real name Roisin Donald, released 'Room to breathe' just over a month ago, with the track receiving airplay across the UK and Ireland.
The song has already racked up almost 150,000 streams on Spotify after making its way into several major playlists.
After spending much of 2019 on the road supporting the likes of Snow Patrol, Kodaline and Robbie Williams, as well as a slew of festivals appearances, the 20-year-old released her previous single 'Look who’s on TV' in February.
ROE is scheduled to perform a livestream from home for Hot Press this Friday at 7pm, don't miss it.
