Snow Patrol announce acoustic shows in Derry

Snow Patrol have announced a run of four acoustic shows at the Millenium Forum in Derry, on October 13, 14, 16 and 17.

Snow Patrol were the first recipients of The Official Charts Hall of Fame Award in July, which aims to spotlight albums that remained in the charts for a significant period of time.

The band subsequently released a 20th anniversary edition of their 2006 album Eyes Open, on July 24. The album features their hit single 'Chasing Cars', which was named the most played song on British radio of the century back in 2019.

Snow Patrol's last Irish show was at St. Anne's Park in May, with support from Morgana and Orla Gartland.

The Irish-Scottish band have won seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards, and have been nominated for six BRIT awards and one Grammy.

Performing in Derry is personal for the band, with Gary Lightbody writing on the Snow Patrol Instagram;

'J is from there and my family is from there and so we have a deep connection to the city.'
