Death In Vegas will host the eleventh in the series of Heineken Green Room Sessions in Galway
Death In Vegas bring their hybrid electronic musings to Galway next month as the next installment of the Heineken Green Room Sessions. This free, invitation-only party takes place on October 11 at the seafront setting of Galway's Radisson Hotel. They will also play at Dublin's Ambassador Theatre on the following night, October 12.
The live dates coincide with the release of DIV's new album, Satan’s Circus. An instrumental-only affair, the album reportedly sees Richard Fearless and Tim Holmes taking a brave new departure from the A-list party of last year's Scorpio Rising. That album featured guest vocals from the likes of Dot Allison, Hope Sandoval, Paul Weller, Nicola Kuperas and Liam Gallagher. Satan's Circus will be released with a limited edition bonus Live in Brixton CD, including the floor filling likes of 'Girls', 'Durge' and 'Hands Around My Throat'.
Asked what fans can expect from their current live set Holmes explains, "It's about half ‘Scorpio Rising’. Maybe more. There are about four tracks from ‘Contino Sessions’. We do a few songs that were released as vinyl only. They were very electronic. Now they sound like Krautrock. It varies according to where we are playing. We can play long sets if it is our own gig. People want to hear songs that they can jump around to".
