With the Daft Punk film selling out ahead of tonight's screening and tickets selling fast for the Guinness Storehouse weekender, the new DEAF box office is the place to be
This year’s DEAF festival is already in full swing, but with performances and screenings happening all this week it’s not too late to get in on the action.
Tickets for the weekend extravaganza are selling like hotcakes on a winter’s day, and with DEAF 02’s finale event sold out well in advance we advise you to secure your tickets fast. And this year – with the DEAF setting up it’s very own box office - you simply have no excuse.
The box office is centrally located in Essex Street, Temple Bar, which is opposite the entrance to Meeting House Square, where BLIND film screenings are taking place all this week.
While tonight’s screening of Daft Punk’s Interstella 555’ is sold out, you can catch the Finnish movie ‘The Future is not what it used to be’ tomorrow night absolutely free.
Thursday’s BLIND proceedings offer a unique experience of film and music, with a screening of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre accompanied by a live score by the Electronic Sensoria Band. Should get you well spooked in time for Halloween…
Friday at Meeting House Square is strictly hip hop, with screenings of hip hop clips and Kevin Fitzgerald’s documentary ‘FREESTYLE: The Art of Rhyme’. Featuring such linguistic legends as Mos Def, Freestyle Fellowship, The Roots, Medusa, J5, Darkleaf and Supernatural, you can expect "1/2 art house cinema 1/2 underground mix-tape". The filmmakers will introduce the film and lead a discussion afterwards. A must for all b-boys and b-girls.
The DEAF box office is open from 12pm – 8pm, until October 26. Information and tickets for all the events including the Guinness Storehouse will be available in store.
